Research Question and Scholarly Sources
Main Question:
From mermaids to the megalodon, there are various different theories and beliefs as to what is actually living in the vast unknown waters of the ocean. However, based on what we do know there are several differences between species that live in the upper levels of the ocean and the bottom of it. How do the extremely different environmental conditions at the bottom of the ocean and their influence on species, create a belief of almost alien life found in these unknown waters?
